While preparing the book, it was aimed to; Starting from the use of MATLAB on computers, it should meet the need of students, researchers and academicians to use mathematics by introducing its basic features and possibilities, provide comfort in solving problems to be encountered at all levels, be useful without going into too much detail, be easily understood, have a style and feature that facilitates the solution of complex problems, can be used at any level. learners and teachers should have a handbook on this subject. Written with these purposes in mind, the book covers Science (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry), Technical Sciences (Engineering and Technical Education) and Social Sciences (Economics, Business…) etc. It has been prepared by keeping the idea of providing easy use of analytical and numerical methods that students, researchers and educators in the fields need.
In the book, besides the MATLAB commands related to the mathematical method used in various fields, screen shots of how the user can install MATLAB on his computer are given, how to approach the mathematical solution of a problem systematically, and in the following sections, the necessary commands are given in order. While introducing MATLAB commands here, it was tried to choose examples from various sources that are still being taught, especially those that introduce real-world problems, so that it is aimed to encourage students and researchers to learn and to provide attractiveness. In Chapter 20 of the book, various sample problems solved by optimization and programming are presented to guide the work of many researchers and students working on various subjects. In the last 3 chapters, the toolboxes in MATLAB, which have found the most use of artificial intelligence techniques, which have been increasingly interested by students and researchers recently, Fuzzy Logic, Artificial Neural Networks (Neural Networks) and Genetic Algorithms ( Genetic Algorithms) are introduced and examples that facilitate the understanding and application of these three techniques are given.
Another convenience is provided at the end of the book by giving the COMMANDS INDEX, which indicates the page numbers in the sections where each command is specifically introduced and there are interesting examples. We hope that the book will fill an important gap in facilitating the application of mathematical methods related to various courses with the help of computers, and will meet the needs of students, researchers and educators in different fields at associate, undergraduate, graduate and doctoral levels.
