Becoming a World Citizen

First, let me start with what "being a citizen of the world" is, to make sure we all understand the same thing by that term.

World citizenship, which may have a different meaning for everyone, means the following to me:

To value people because they are human, regardless of where they come from, their religion, language or race.

And to live the life you want where you want, to stay as long as you want, to make the work you do by offering your service to everyone who needs it.

To be able to think beyond borders, regions, nations and focus on benefiting all humanity.

To have the equipment to do all these things; personal, professional, energetic and linguistic equipment.

I see myself as a citizen of the world. I was born in this land and my Turkish identity is an important part of me.

But no matter what I do, I always ask myself the question: How can I present my work to 7-odd billion people around the world?

Every day I try to create a better version of myself with the intention of answering this question, and in doing so, I try to serve a greater purpose than myself.

This is what being a citizen of the world means to me.

The book you hold in your hands is, at its core, a travel book. It is a travel book in which I describe my travels since 2017 and my experiences there.

Since traveling is a big parameter of being a global citizen, we decided to give this book the same name as my training series "The Escape Plan", where I try to guide people to gain the necessary equipment to become a global citizen.

Because my travels and all that I do serve the same purpose: to be a global citizen who tries to contribute to himself, his family, his country, the continent and the world he lives in, and to guide other people who want to do this.

I hope this book guides you, at least for a bit, on your path to becoming a citizen of the world.
