Cyber intelligence, which is used both as an intelligence discipline and as an intelligence collection method, provides great benefits in terms of domestic and foreign intelligence collection in countries where studies are carried out by giving due importance to this field, especially in countries such as the USA and Israel.

Turkey, on the other hand, is among the most important targets of foreign secret services due to its geopolitical position. In order to be able to counter the cyber espionage activities carried out against our country, it is necessary to increase and strengthen the cyber security studies that have developed especially in recent years.

Murat Şişman has produced an important work on this subject in terms of the formation of intelligence and counterintelligence disciplines for the law enforcement and intelligence agencies in Turkey, as well as for ordinary citizens at the user level.

Explaining the concepts such as cyber espionage and mobile espionage, which have an important place in intelligence activities, in a simple and effective way, Şişman also makes a great contribution in terms of national security by allowing the awareness needed to be raised throughout the country.

In our country, there has been an increase in the importance given to academic studies in the field of intelligence and the studies carried out together with it. In the same way, thanks to the events, workshops, trainings and many other activities organized throughout the country on cyber security, there are great developments in the fight against the threats that may occur in cyberspace. This work of Murat Şişman is also an important resource for the academic community.
