The long awaited holiday has finally arrived. Undoubtedly, you have been planning many things since the winter saying "What would I do if summer came?" This holiday is a great opportunity where you have plenty of time to realize your dreams and improve yourself. My advice; Don't sleep all day long for the holiday, you won't have this much free time for a long time.

My friend Suat Batuhan Esirger, one of our editorial board members, did not give up his passion for production even when he went to Bodrum for a holiday, and the cover photo was taken by him.

Let's talk about the content of the magazine a little. In the second issue of Çırak, an article called "Child Wikipedians Wanted" written by Romeo Hüseyin Emre Eseceli was published. We need to instill a source of free information like Wikipedia in our children, I became a member of Wikipedia at a young age, because this is the only way for such wiki sites to survive for many years. However, we were very upset by the news we received when the magazine went to print. Access to Wikipedia had been blocked in Turkey. It is still blocked at the time this article was written. Our wish is that the access block will be lifted and access to free information will be restored while you are reading these lines. The internet, which has started to be accepted as a basic human right in some European countries, has unfortunately been trying to exist in our country with constant blockages and oppression for 20 years. Also, this is not the only problem with the internet in our country. Internet connection is very slow despite our country being on the natural fiber optic cable route, and as if that were not enough, it is provided at exorbitant prices. In order to raise awareness on these issues, we have determined the subject of this issue as "Internet and Internet Censorship in Turkey".

When it comes to the Internet, especially the Internet in Turkey, of course we couldn't not mention Mustafa Akgül. We included the interview of our teacher Akgül in the book "Hack Culture and Hacktivism" published by the Alternative Informatics Association in the magazine. If you want to learn about the struggle of our teacher Akgül, who "brought the Internet to Turkey", so to speak, don't forget to look at the Master section.

Of course, there are projects at every level in the magazine, as in every issue. The Ecology Board Project in the Apprentice Section is a Social Responsibility Project Carried Out with Deniztemiz Turmepa to Teach Children About Carbon Emissions. The Table Football Making Project, Which You Can Use Materials That Can Be Found in Every Home, Shows Us How We Can Produce With Ordinary Items We See Around Us Every Day, with a Very Good Example. In the Journeyman Section, Mehmet Sütcü continues with Nodemcu; Umut Karcı continues with the Micropython Series. In addition, the Burglar Alarm and Home Automation Projects Made with Raspberry Pi Are Perfect for Those Who Like to Stay Home in the Summer Due to the Heat. Our Teacher Murat Boyar Examined the Products of Two Major Hardware Startups Coming Out of Turkey, Umut Erkal's Turta Iot Hat and Sixfab's GSM/GPRS Shields.

The Future is Here With the Contributions of His Team, We Had an Interview with Siert Wijnia, One of the Founders of Ultimaker, One of the World's Largest 3D Printer Manufacturers, via Email, Not Face to Face. I Thank Him Once Again for Not Letting Us Down.

There was another development in this issue that gave us hope, increased our happiness and motivation: Child Writers! 5 of our young friends under the age of 16 contributed to this issue with their writings. This gave us hope and showed us that we were on the right track. We hope that this number will increase even more in the next issue and that Çırak, who set out to appeal to everyone from 7 to 70, will get one step closer to his goal.

Maker Meet-Ups have changed formats, now each month will have a different agenda topic and will be enriched with short presentations. July's agenda topic is "Drones". Also, after each meeting, a meal will be eaten for that meeting. This month's meal is Çiğ Köfte!
